Minor - Coach Pitch/Farm - Little League Baseball
Players that register for this level will be placed based on age and experience into either Coach Pitch or Farm
Coach Pitch is a step above Tee Ball.
- Players will attempt to bat from a coach's pitch and if unable to hit the ball will hit off the tee.
- Outs are recorded in Coach Pitch. After three outs or the full lineup bats teams change sides.
- Extra base hits are possible on hits to the outfield.
- Score is not kept, wins and losses are not recorded
- Standings are not kept.
- Teams practice one a week generally.
- Games on mostly on Saturdays.
- Games are approximately 75 minutes.
Farm is played by the same rules except players begin pitching on a limited basis, with the coach replacing the pitcher if the ball has not been put in play after a specified number of pitches. Catchers begin at this level, but there is no base stealing. Games are 90 minutes.
